that further enhance the curriculum. Areas include sensory exploration, art, dramatic
play, blocks, puzzles, etc.

Thanking God before meals, discussing manners, healthy foods |

Class Meeting & Morning Message |
Welcome, calendar, choose jobs for the day, announcements, morning message to children
covering the objectives of the day. |

“Get Moving” Activities |
Movement activities designed to build muscle development and coordination, self
confidence and self esteem. |

10:00-10:30 |
Direct Instruction in Math/ Language Arts/Shared Reading |
Teacher works with small literacy groups and/or individuals, children work in literacy
centers on ABC, phonemic awareness, concepts of print, comprehension processes,
Big books, song charts & poems, fine motor activities to build hand strength,
concepts of print, modeled writing. Teacher works with small groups and/or individuals,
children work in math center on math concepts such as numbers and operations, patterns,
spatial sense, measurement, and reasoning using manipulatives, graphs, and hands-on
activities. |

Opportunities to explore various art materials, fine motor control, self-expression,
